Every September since our first festival in 2002, the Brea Jazz Festival has brought together exciting jazz artists and enthusiastic jazz audiences for a month-long celebration of jazz. If you would like the opportunity to participate in the Brea Jazz Festival, please review the following guidelines for submitting materials for consideration.
Please Note: Due to the high volume of submissions received, we are unable to return materials.
Guidelines
Artist submissions are accepted from January 1 to March 31. You will need to re-submit materials for each year you wish to be considered, as space limitations prevent us from keeping information from previous years on file.

All submissions should include the following:
- CD recording (the CD and CD case must be clearly labeled) *
- Biography (brief)
- Photograph
- Contact Information: Name of contact person, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail & web site
*Audiocassette, VHS & DVD recordings will not be accepted.
Artist Submission Status
We will contact you via mail or e-mail to confirm receipt of your submission. If you do not receive an acknowledgement within three weeks, you may contact us at service@breadowntown.com
Please be aware that the large volume of submissions received prohibits us from contacting all artists for follow-up. Therefore, only those who are being considered for performing at the Brea Jazz Festival will be contacted - typically by mid-April. Please do not contact our office unless asked to do so, as the large number of inquiries regarding performance opportunities often precludes us from accepting or returning calls.
